Genealogy Research Trip

I am very excited for vacation this year. I am going on a Genealogy Research Trip! The baby will have to come along and one of my older daughters who loves road trips is coming as well. We are going to York, Nebraska; maybe Omaha; Anamosa, Iowa; Muscatine, Iowa; Mt. Sterling, IL; Perry, IL; Nashville (for fun); and Izard County, AR. There are so many things I want to see, research and take pictures of! I have been doing a lot of preparation work – getting files in order, noting what I need to look for in each county, where I need to go, what the office hours are, hotels, etc… I have a little less than a month to get ready now and I am so psyched but the more preparing and research I do the more place I wish I could stop! 10 days just doesn’t seem like enough time. I just tell myself that I will do this again and hit the places I missed on this trip. I will blog more later on which ancestors I will be travelling to research.
